Operating as an independent consultant around MSR, I picked up a ‘starter’ project for a new library project for the Leech Lake Tribal College, designed by Sam Olbeskson, who is now a partner at the Cunningham Group.

The project had been produced in Sketchup, and AutoCAD – and in order to develop it into construction documents – the team needed it converted to a Revit document.

So with the task at hand – I compiled and converted everything into Revit geometry, with the original model linked in order to track the design direction. I then developed the model to DD level project and transferred the information to the PA who was charged with its completion. While back in the MSR office on another project – I also aided in revisions and explanations of the modeling of the more complex geometries.

I was happy to help in whatever way I could to help this library move forward. The drawings and construction were completed after my time expired on consulting work for the firm. It was a challenging task to model (especially in Revit 2008). The projects that push your skill level are the ones that tend to be the most rewarding.
