As an independent consultant, I was involved in a few projects at MS&R. This mid-century remodeling project of an existing home in Rhode Island came via a personal lead from one of the partners. 

I’m including it to reminisce a little about the type of project that it was. The first phase of this was to remodel the master suite and home office areas. 

Special care was given to each design decision. How the client wanted to interact with casework and how it looked in the space and reflected on the overall living experience were constantly considered, discussed and influenced the eventual construction. 

That level of discussion and involvement in the design process is why I have a soft spot for residential design.
