In 2016 & 17, as part of a small team at DLR – we were hired to renovate the gaming floor and at the same time add a central plant to the facility to support the expansion of the development. 

As a part of this endeavor, the bar/stage area was revised as well adding several large interior canopy elements over the card gaming area. 

The specific challenge was the coordination of multiple stepped ceilings with a free-form geometry, and the creation of a canopy form that fit an aesthetic – while also maintaining structural integrity.
